Frequently Asked Questions - International Students 

Q: I'm a student at the University of Copenhagen but don't have a Danish CPR-number yet, can I still register as a library user and borrow books?
A: Yes, you can use your Student ID as your library card. Please register as a "Student at the University of Copenhagen (without a CPR number)".

Q: I haven't received my Student ID yet, can I still register as a library user?
A: Yes, but you are unable to borrow books or receive remote access to our electronic collections. You can use our materials on site and at our reading rooms in the Black Diamond. Please register as a "Reading Room Borrower"

Q: I don't study at the University of Copenhagen. Can I register as a library user and borrow books?
A: Yes, if you have a Danish CPR number and reside in Denmark. Please register as "A Student - Somewhere Else"

Q: How do I acquire remote access to your electronic resources?
A: When you received your Student ID from the University of Copenhagen, we should have automatically received the data which grants you remote access. If you experience a problem with your remote access, please send an email to kb@kb.dk (remember to include your Student ID number)

Q: Can I use any of the libraries?
A: Yes, you are welcome to use all of our libraries, not just your institute or faculty library.
